Is there a relation between the melanocyte Concentration in Delphinapterus leucas and the UV radiation?

Due to higher concentration of UV rays in the Arctic the results should show us that the concentration of melanocytes of Arctic beluga whales is higher than the concentration of melanocytes of Russia beluga whales.
From a Darwinistic point of view we could say that the population of the Artic beluga whales due to genetic recombination and/or mutations through time have been naturally selected to have higher concentration melanocytes, this means that the whales that are born with more melanocytes have more protection so they are more adapted to a kind of environment with high UV rays rate and so they will reproduce more and have descendants with the same characteristics.
